Course Outcome
On successful completion, Maxwell Training issues students with a Statement of Attainment recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework for the following units of competency:
The training is a proactive course designed to prepare you for your role as a Warden in your workplace. Training includes preparation for emergencies, practicing emergency response procedures, the role of the Emergency Control Organisation (ECO) and your responsibility as a Warden in the prevention of and preparation for an emergency. By attending this training you will learn how to safely evacuate your workplace and how to control small fires in the workplace. This course is appropriate for people requiring the skills to perform the duties of a Warden in the workplace.

Course duration is 4 hours.

Entry Requirements

Language, Literacy and Numeracy
- Language, literacy and numeracy skills are required at a level to read, complete, interpret and communicate workplace documents and procedures and perform basic calculations
- Students are required to pass an LLN assessment
- Theory: classroom based, including PowerPoint presentations, trainer demonstrations and group discussions
- Practical: using safety equipment in multiple simulated work activities
- Multiple choice and short answer written assessment
- Targeted questioning
- Observation of practical skills during simulated work activities
- Lunch (Maxwell Training provide coffee, tea, water and biscuits only)
- Appropriate clothing including enclosed footwear
