Description
This course covers the entering and working in confined spaces in resources and infrastructure industries. It includes planning and preparing for entry of confined spaces, entry and working in confined spaces, exiting confined spaces and cleaning up, gas monitoring and the issuing of permits.

It is appropriate for operators undertaking work in confined spaces, being used as a safety observer where a permit requires for this role to be present and needs to determine if the working atmosphere is safe for the proposed work. Also for personnel who may be required to issue any and all permits.

It also covers the competency required to undertake rescue in confined spaces, as defined in AS 2865-2009 Confined spaces, as a member of a single agency or multi-disciplinary team.

This course will also give you the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines.
