Description
UETDREL006 - Working safely in the vicinity of live electrical apparatus as a non-electrical worker
This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to work safely in the vicinity of live electrical apparatus as a non-electrical worker. It includes compliance with safe approach distances for the worker, plant, tools and equipment. The application of the skills and knowledge described in this unit may require a licence/registration to practice in the workplace. Other conditions may also apply under state and territory legislative and regulatory licensing requirements which must be confirmed prior to commencing this unit.
Please note, that this training takes into account differing levels of technical knowledge for non-electrical workers and electrical workers working near energised electrical apparatus (including powerlines). Non-electrical workers or "ordinary persons" may perform tasks such as telecommunications, crane or plant operations near overhead powerlines. Electrical workers with existing, comprehensive knowledge of voltage and live electrical apparatus, are known as "accredited persons".
HLTAID009 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines. This includes all workers who may be required to provide CPR, in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.
UETDRMP007 - Perform Rescue from a live low voltage panel
