Identify, Locate and Protect Underground Services
Before ground is disturbed, you need to know what services may be below it and how to work safely around them. Plans are a starting point, but underground electricity, gas, water, sewer and telecommunications services may not be exactly where you expect.

This nationally recognised course will develop your skills to read service plans and asset owner information, recognise clues on site, and use locating equipment to identify and mark underground services. You’ll practise checking equipment, assessing risks and recording what you find. You’ll also learn how to protect services during nearby work and what to do if you uncover an unexpected asset.

Accredited Unit of Competency
